The Brambilla deck, created by Bonifacio Bembo’s workshop in Cremona between approximately 1442 and 1444 for the Duke of Milan, Filippo Maria Visconti, was acquired by the government in 1971 for the Pinacoteca, thanks in part
to the efforts of the Associazione Amici di Brera and the Milanese museums.
