The painting “San Moisè” (1930) is a famous oil on canvas (81 × 67 cm) by the Italian painter Filippo De Pisis.

The work depicts the imposing Venetian Baroque façade of the same name using the artist’s characteristic “fly’s leg” style, and is now housed in Milan at the historic Pinacoteca di Brera. The painting offers a perspective view of the Venetian church and is distinguished by its stylized execution. De Pisis outlines the architecture without dwelling too much on minute details, focusing instead on quick strokes of color that succeed in capturing the city’s vibrant energy. The work was first exhibited at the 1932 Venice Biennale and is now part of the Milanese museum’s collection (often housed in the Palazzo Citterio complex).
